Sony Walkman B Series MP3 Player

February 2, 2010

$99

RATING:

You can’t deny Sony know music devices. Responsible for the original Walkman, they owned the market for a long time. So Apple’s takeover doesn’t mean Sony have dropped the bundle. They just don’t have the marketing nouse. Well, let’s face it, no one has the marketing nouse of Apple. Anyway, I digress. The B Series is a good, cheap, mini MP3 player. It’s about the size of the Shuffle (the previous generations at least) but manages to include a screen, which is a big plus. The supplied earphones are pretty foul, but you can replace without too much extra cost or effort. Easy navigation, well organised buttons, FM radio, voice recorder and 4GB of space mean this unit will serve you well for under $100. By Julia Gaw
