Australian singer Gotye has hit #1 on the UK Singles Chart overnight for his best-selling song Somebody That I Used To Know (ft. Kimbra).

Gotye pushed out DJ David Guetta's single Titanium (ft. Australian singer Sia) to claim the spot.

The release of Somebody That I Used To Know brought the originality and spunk of classic '80s band Split Enz and singer Peter Gabriel to the modern era.

The single also had one of the best song clips to be released last year.
